What to Review

Four things to review for 2027

Your doctors and hospitals

Confirm whether they participate in the network of the specific plan you are considering.

Your medications

Review whether they are covered, which pharmacies participate, and how much you may pay.

Your costs

Compare the premium, deductible, copays, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket limit. A low premium does not mean every service is free.

Your plan change letter

Read the Annual Notice of Change to learn about coverage and cost changes taking effect in January.

Local 2027 Update

Do you use Lee Health and have UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage?

Lee Health has announced that its hospitals and doctors will be out of network for affected UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans starting January 1, 2027. UnitedHealthcare states it is working to reach an agreement. The situation could change: confirm the latest information and review your plan details before making a decision. A network change does not mean your insurance is canceled. Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plans are not affected by this negotiation in the same way.
